Sharifa Elaraj

Dana Gerber
Dana focused her academic curriculum on litigation, including trial advocacy, personal injury, and no-fault. As a law student, she clerked with three different firms ranging in size from very large to a solo practitioner. Two of these firms practice primarily in personal injury. She combines what she learned there with what works for our clients. She is currently a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Minnesota Association for Justice.

Amparo Garcia
Paralegal
Formerly a Legal Assistant, Amparo took over the role of Office Manager and Bookkeeper for Elaraj & Associates in April, 2009. She keeps business moving at Elaraj & Associates doing everything from preparing client accounts and determining settlement values, to meeting with the firm’s suppliers and advertisers to keep Elaraj & Associates in the spotlight. As the most senior member of Elaraj & Associates non-attorney staff, she knows the process inside and out, and takes pride in her ability to answer almost any question thrown at her.

Law Clerk
At Elaraj & Associates, Liz does legal writing including preparing arbitration statements and writing demand packages. Liz has also been involved in filing arbitrations and settling claims with adjusters in order to reinstate our clients' No-Fault benefits or get their outstanding medical bills paid.

Jane Champlin
Law Clerk
Jane began work as a law clerk at Elaraj & Associates in the fall of 2009 after completing her first year at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota . As a law clerk, she writes demand letters on behalf of clients to settle outstanding medical bills and compensate them for permanent injuries. Jane maintains regular communication with clients in both English and Spanish and manages client files. She works on cases involving personal injury, workers' compensation, and slip and falls.

Lindsay Merrick-Thompson
Paralegal
Lindsay came to Elaraj & Associates in August of 2008. As the Litigation Paralegal, she enjoys the challenge of assisting the attorneys with necessary research and documentation, and managing the many deadlines involved in formal litigation. She commits each day to working quickly and efficiently to help clients achieve the final resolution of their case. She enjoys working directly with clients to guide them through the process as well, explaining the different phases in the process, minimizing the interference their case has in their daily life, and addressing any concerns that come up along the way. Lindsay is an active member of the Minnesota Paralegal Association.

Sandra Velázquez
Legal Secretary
Sandra started working at Elaraj and Associates, Attorneys at Law, as a secretary in January, 2008. Her duties include answering incoming calls and clients' questions, entering new client intakes, filing motor vehicle accident claims with insurance companies, and helping clients with property damage issues among others. Prior to her work experience as a secretary, Sandra worked at International Services of America as a lien collector for interpreting services from 2006-2007. She was in charge of collecting interpretation fees for workers' compensation claims, obtaining insurance information from employers, and invoice data entry.
